Future Dreams

I have always dreamt about how the future will look say in 200 or 300 years. We will not be there to see it but its always the dream that inspires and energize us. People will be pushed to be aware of keeping and protecting the environment. They will be more aware that anything that breaks the environment law will endanger their lives and their future.

Aeroplanes, Jets, Trains, Cars, Trucks you name it, will emit less dangerous chemicals to the environment. Flights will reach the destination quarter of the time it takes to reach now... Trains will clock speed of 1000 kmph without having to know if the signal is ready.

Automatic sensors and laser lights will help policing the traffic without need of any human interaction whatsoever. Despite of all this technology advancement, manufacturers of transport and stake holders will be forced to change the design to protect the environment.

Solar Energy will be the only source of fuel supply. Petroleum / biogas products will be banned. Electrical Applicances across the world will be running only through Solar power.

Papers, Plastics and other materials will be made by waste materials and recycled completely. Government could buy buildings from the owners at millions of dollars to harvest rain forests and build artificial water tanks.

Solar Cars, trucks, buses will fly over the building tops through recyclable cables or tunnels. No other traffic will be allowed in the roads except for people to walk or cycles.

Green Top Buildings (See on Top)
Governments will pass laws to abolish any buildings if it does not have a green top. No emissions like smoke/ chemical liquids will be allowed from any building or that sort. Buildings will be covered by green plants and flowers that require less water to survive.

Who knows we may reincarnate to see all this stuff to see a beautiful Earth!

My Favourite Tool Lists

Most of us have some or rather collection of utilities on their utility directory. I thought why not post some cool utilities that I thought is really cool :)

I will try to update the list as much as I can

Powershell - recognizing .net components or managing a machine or a network from a command tool, thats really awesome, thats what I thought when I went into details. You will find this amazing once you deep dive!

LINQPad - A great learning tool to query your database stuff or understand predicates through LINQ. Its just awesome, give a try.

Notepad++ - Great tool for text editing. Supports XML (wow ;) and CR/LF support and clean view. Good replacement for notepad.

BeyondCompare - arguably the best compare tool that I have seen. Has color coding and simple to use and is quite user friendly too!

VLC Media Player - want to watch video of any format of any codec (still remember the days of downloading codecs from web, very time consuming process). Just double click the file and play with vlc. It's just superb.

MagicIso - Should say Im a fan of it. Extract ISO image (legal ISO's) to your disk in minutes.

FileZilla - Best in FTP!

WebService Studio - Test your webservice for results. Very simple and user friendly to use. Try this great tool!

List to be updated soon!

Save the Tigers

Tigers are beautiful creatures that existed since evolution of mankind approx of 1.5 million years ago.

Tigers are special kind of cats that show fearlessness and stalk the prey. They posess high intelligence and can live without water or food for days together.

They are quite shy and can hide if it senses any human trace close by like any other wild animals. They rarely attack humans and the incidents show that they attack when they think their life is endangered by humans.

They weigh around 300 pounds on average and tigers are territorial. There are variety of subspecies which includes Bengal tigers, Siberian, Indochinese, Malay & South Chinese tigers. Some of the species that already went extinct are

Capsian & Bali tigers.

The purpose of this blog is to create awarness to protect these beautiful creatures. We may never be in a position to show tigers to our future generations.

Concentration of Tigers can be found in India, Malaysia, Russia(almost extinct), China and Bangaladesh.

Unfortunately not much left today. Tigers are killed for Skin and Parts of tigers are used in medicine. Siberian Tigers have almost gone extinct and Poachers have helped to reduce the number of tigers from 30,000 in 1950-1960's to almost 3000 in the total world.

In India, though the government has taken so many precautions, the numbers have suffered severely due to extensive killing in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. Currently the head count balances to 1411 tigers (may be less than that) due to inaccurate measurement techniques like identifying peg marks.

WWF India plays a major role in spreading the awareness together with SaveOurtigers initiative.

The government believes if this rate continues there will be no tigers in the wild in approx 10-15 years time.

What can we do to save the tigers

1) Spread the awareness

2) Act as responsible tourists to make sure the natural habitat is maintained

3) Volunteer or Join the following organizations
